go here The Observatory Roque de los Muchachos (ORM) is placed on the edge of the Caldera Taburiente National Park, 2396 m above the sea level in the municipality of Garafía on the island of La Palma. It hosts one of the most extensive fleets of telescopes that can be found anywhere in the world, and owns the 10.4 m “Gran Telescopio Canarias”, presenting the world’s largest single- aperture optical telescope. The climate conditions at the Observatory are ideal not only for night time observations but also for Solar Physics.
